Episode 20: Survival of the Fitest

by @ 11:59 am. Filed under Gaming, General, Japanese, Movies, Podcasts, Strange, Tech

Sweet!!  Only one more episode and we're old enough to drink!  This week on The Transcontinental Penguin Super Show the world of gaming stood still for a moment when whilst we all reflected on the near demise of E3.  Some say it is a simple "downsizing" or "restructuring" but this can be certainly said, E3 as we know will never be the same again.  Nintendo continues the march toward victory with more amazing news including the long awaited DS Headset, complete system specs for the Wii, revealing camera and headset functions, as well as being "revolutionary" by running Linux of a solid state media card.  Sony efforts, though possibly in vain, continue none the less and the first wave of their counter offensive rolls off the assembly line!  Only 100 billion more PS3 to see that profit turn around.  Not to be out done, Microsoft vows they will steal the spotlight from Sony and Nintendo.  Their lack of attention on their operating systems here is possibly a reason people like American McGee are going to switch to Linux.  The fact that Windows Genuine Advantage doesn't work right or the new demo of Vista leaves you saying the same thing as most others, when will it end?  AOL's last ditch effort for survival seems to be just that, an attempt to keep what few people remain loyal.  Batman gets a little gayer, Brokeback Mountain style with Heath Ledger being the Joker in the upcoming Batman: The Dark Knight sequel.  It gets worse with Ryan Phillipe as Harvey Dent.  As we said, if only the asteroid would collide with Earth and end it all or at least give a solid peaceful release to lobster people everywhere.  Japan shames themselves further in this episodes WTF is Wrong With Japanese People.  Some crazy guy built what looks like a mech while Nike uses transforming robots, not Transformers as confusion suggests, to support their product.  If you can't figure out the burger magic trick then perhaps you'll stay tuned for a little English lesson, Japanese style.  Come on!  Come on, Toshi!  Come On!

Episode 19: Yo VIPs….Let’s kick it!

by @ 10:57 am. Filed under Gaming, General, Japanese, Podcasts, Strange, Tech

A date which will live in infamy….For the first time and possibly the last time, The Transcontinental Penguin Super Show came at you live and edited in ReAL TIME.  We came up with a great idea just to have some fun and hope you all enjoy it.  Comic-Con 2006 wrapped up with some interesting news for all to share.  Mike choose to highlight the possible Ghostbusters 3 sequel and dove deep into the awesomeness of the Transformers movie.  Also coming at you is the new CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, in which we played the old school intro.  In the old tech spot, Sony officially began manufacturing their fabled Playstation 3 while the Nintendites have a possible cryptic release date for the Wii, October 2nd.  Despite being gay, France will now also be known for possibly the fastest and greatest packaged ISP service ever with their 2.5 G/s speeds.  AMD and ATI merge is official!  Via la resistence!  Expect some ground breaking computer stuff bitches!  NVidia is on the map too with their powering the new video iPod.  The DS Opera offers you the chance to get more use out of your Nintendo DS, giving it 24 hour a day playness.  Microsoft claims Vista will be an image loaded directly onto the hard drive.  Could this be faster or just Microsoft lazyness?  We shalt see.  Don't forget to order your King James Bible by calling us at 206-600-6212.  If worried about being a Christian, learn a little about the Mormon faith and then rethink yourself.  The MPAA decided to screw with the wrong Hogan, brother!  Lastly, we hit you a coupe Mac bash links just to keep things PC….get it?  PC?  WOW……Japanese Androids!!!  I TOLD YOU ALL BUT YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE ME!  WHY DIDN'T YOU BELIEVE ME?  I like my steak Pittsburg Medium not Medium Rare.  Vanilla Ice Ninja Rap…I think that just explains itself :)

Episode 18…..Pending Apple Approval

by @ 2:46 pm. Filed under Gaming, General, Japanese, Podcasts, Strange, Tech

Thank you to all our listeners that come back consistently despite our vicious iTunes problems.  Chris totally goes off explaining the problems and that it is nearly fixed.  We love you guys!!!  Nintendo pops out a little more info on their new Wii controller and it's functionality while Sony continues what we believe to be there downward spiral with the loss of UMD movies.  The possible switch to Memory Stick Duo movies might work, but we doubt it.  Not to mention we doubt the two new PlayStation 3 videos; one of the user interface and other of the unit itself.  Keeping it light we toss in a clip from Chappelle's Show with Wayne Brady, arguably one of the top ten from the show.  Drool hits the floor over the new Transformers Movie pictures, but the fear they make too many changes to classic things lives.  Mike finally saw X-men and we talked about other comic book stuff, like the Iron Man movie.  Want a tank?  Buy it now on Amazon!  It comes equipped with a kickin system to listen to Gangsta Master Yoda and his rap.  Japan causes more pain to humanity with WTF Is Wrong With Japanese People!  The new Mario Basketball DS commercial makes you laugh, while the male population, 10% with no sex, makes you think,  huh?  The pimp talk show host monkey makes you think damn he's good, better than me, and I'm human.  And of course the fly circus makes you think, gosh maybe Mike is right and we should erase Japan from existence, or at bare minimum they should cut the shit out, like President Bush said to Tony Blair.  Power to the Penguins!!!

Episode 17: Penguin 360….Back to Our Roots, Bitches!

by @ 11:41 pm. Filed under Gaming, General, Japanese, Podcasts, Strange, Tech

And We're Back!!!  This week we went old school and tried to bring things back to our roots a bit with one of our stories.  Gamefly has already added Wii and PS3 games to it's list despite not evening being available yet.  As Sony continues to have more problems such as pushing back assembly to next month Cell chips yield, Nintendo steps up their game further by having one million Wii units ready by August.  On the light side, DS Lite that is, Star Fox is all set to make his debut on the new handheld dynamo.  Plus, Mario glass figures made in Mexico, can I get a w00t?  We learned all about Net Neutrality from Ask A Ninja and Chris whilst Senator Ted Stevens absolutely butchers the definition of the Internet.  We have both regular and techno; take your pick.  Man arrested for planting stone soccer balls in Germany….need we say more on that?  Scientology takes the high road when one of it's members assaults a man making a documentary and then denies his involvement.  Grats to South Park on their Emmy nod for "Trapped in the Closet," and to Comedy Central for airing the episode once again.  Still confused?  Let Stephen Colbert explain for you.  This week Japanese architecture goes down the toilet, while more wacky people scare others.  All hail Kobayashi and his amazing stomach!!!  Nathen's Hot Dog Champion Sixth Time in a Row!  Like pranks?  Well we've got two for you.  One in the office and the other in the dorm.  One goes over well and the other does not, you watch and find which one is which.  And finally, think twice next time you're mugged at gun point by a balloon or get into a brawl with a pickle….wait those are inanimate objects, people are actually scared of them??  Wow Maury Povich, take us out!

Episode 16: America, Fuck Yeah!

by @ 5:20 pm. Filed under Gaming, General, Japanese, Podcasts, Strange, Tech

Hoist the flags and get your salute on bitches, it's The Transcontinental Penguin Super Show's Happy Birthday America episode!! Today we talked about some really cool videos and things on our minds. We found a video of a real working scale F-14 fighter jet. Canada continues is drag on the world by hiding a terrorist who claims Bungee and Microsoft's Halo made him train terrorists. In other world news, a stupid little girl in Britain learns a valuable lesson about explosive grenades thanks to her Green Day American Idiot T-shirt. The highly anticipated Transformers movie with be released the same day along with the video game, though no screens available just yet. Then we open the flood gates on those little piggly 'sum bitch Scientologists when we bash their cult, uh that is religion, and a wacky security guard with a camera. Retirethepenny.org teaches us that even our smallest unit of currency is too damn expensive. Can we get a fuck ya, America; Allow the glowy green goodness of our case mod link to set the tone for our weekly public awareness campaign in this week's WTF is Wrong With Japanese People. A tiny link shows you that our favorite anime, Dragonball Z, has more than likely reached the end in Japan. And to add cock thrusting to injury, Razor Ramon a.k.a. Hard Gay shows us just what to do to get a child to eat their veggies….that's right folks…thrust cock into face and repeat. Take us out Jimmy Hendrix with our nation's anthem The Star Spangled Banner!

Episode 15: Saved By The Penguin

by @ 7:17 pm. Filed under Gaming, General, Japanese, Podcasts, Strange, Tech
Penguin Super Show coming at you this week with talks about Superman Returns, Spiderman 3 Teaser Trailer, and poor Mike still not seeing X-men: The Last Stand.
We also discussed Bill Gates upcoming retirement from his duties aboard the U.S.S. Titanic….sorry Microsoft and the coming of Apocalypse with the recent fusion of Dell and AMD. We learned Dustin Diamond, a.k.a. Screech from Saved by the Bell pimps his likeness on t-shirts in an effort to save his home and found a funny video of a woman flirting on a subway, mimicking the guy in front of her.
Of course what would an episode of TTCPSS be without the standard issue Sony bashing, problems, and blind insanity of the once top dog in the video game industry.
Then, we blow your mind with more craziness from the land of the rising sun and dragons on this week's WTF is Wrong With Japanese people featuring Japan CO2 solving problem, there's no sex in the Japan Champagne room, and Wake Up Call Pranks.'
Wrapping up with our tirade and disdain of different sects of people including but not limited to Scientology and their fake religion, Lesbo's are all dikes, Mexicans aren't real people, Hello Kitty is Stupid, Para Para is F-ing Stupid, and of course good old Japanese people. Guess we'll just use the profits from our Circuity City video game sale plug to fend off the lawsuits from Tom Cruise, Rosie O'Donnell, Julio and Manuel, and pretty much all of Japan…

In this episode, Chris is incredibly hard to hear, which we didn’t notice until it was too late. It’s Episode 4, still working out the bugs and Gizmo likes to record me softer than Mike. Chris and Mike talk about a small town being attacked by Super Mario power cubes, how the bomb squad was involved. Mario Stamps come to Japan, The Playstation 3 price, Whacky Japanese Mario music, Macs do windows too, vegetarians and Arbys in the news, and Kahn’s plot to destroy the Earth.

We also got a new sponsor. The Jurassic Speedway & Dojo, and there is a commercial. Mike also has an intro to his Japanese rant.
